Nature’s Palette

Seeing a rainbow in the sky is not the most common of occurrences. Every ancient civilization connected the rainbow to something prosperous and auspicious. Scientists then unraveled the mystery that was the rainbow and attributed it to the phenomenon known as diffraction and this phenomenon has several practical purposes. The rainbow is the root of an artists color wheel. While we may not see a rainbow everyday or actually find a pot of gold at its end…one can always detect its essence in nature’s various compositions.

The sky is the canvas on which the rainbow is observed and it is also an artist in its own right yielding a myriad of colors like its expressing its mood in shades of colors like violet, indigo and many more
